About me

My name is Thomas Seidl and I'm a Drupalista. I was born in 1987 in Vienna, Austria, where I still live and work as a Drupal freelancer.

I've been involved in Drupal development since 2007. In this time I first worked mostly with the Apachesolr module before I created my own search module, the Search API, in 2010. I've participated as a student in four Google Summers of Code (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011) and twice as a mentor.

Apart from Drupal I've got a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor in Engineering Physics. I enjoy ballroom dancing, skiing/hiking (depending on season) and apnea diving. I also like reading a lot, with Douglas Adams and Jasper Fforde being my all-time favorite authors.

To return to Drupal, I currently maintain the following modules there:

Non-Drupal work

Apart from Drupal, I also have experience with Lumen/Laravel as well as search-related development work in Java and Python. Please contact me if you are interested in hiring me as a developer or consultant for search-related projects with any of these languages and frameworks. Please also contact me if you have any work in Haskell – I haven’t used it professionally, yet, but would be very interested to change that.
